"Stupid Bear" Print Available now at CMYK Projects

In the past I received numerous messages about if I had any prints available of any of my pieces. Finally, I am happy to say that I do. So, this would technically would be my first giclee which will be available for sale through the lovely folks at CMYK Projects. The print is "Stupid Bear" and there is an edition of 75 with 5 of them having some hand-finished details. The size is 11'x14'' on Hahnemuhle paper. The cost of the print is $75.00 if you live in the United States and $100.00 if you live outside of the US. Every print is signed, numbered and embossed. There will also be one original that can be won through a random selection. More information can be seen through their website.

the nail on my my middle finger is almost gone and i am not sure how that happened.

i do remember that finger getting caught in the sewing machine before when i was thirteen.

mum kept telling me that it would grow back to normal, but that hasn't happened yet.

so i wish it gets cold soon. my skin is baking and i do not like it one bit. i love to walk and jog but not when the sun glares down on me.

walking across the skyways of the city has its pleasant moments, but breathing in fresh (*cough*) air and listening to the soundtrack of the city is much more placid, for me anyways. i think i sound slightly crazy, just slightly. well, the cold air might come sooner then i think it will...i'll start whining about that soon too.

something i did a couple days ago on my sketchbook. their not dead...or atleast i think they aren't but it felt strange drawing them since i had no idea on how to draw a sleeping piglet. i guess this is okay.

there is one thing i do know....drawing with a brush rather than a pencil is a 'lil bit better.

there seems to be more freedom with it despite the fact that there is not much room for mistakes.

it rained throughout the night and into the morning.

the outside world looks nice at the momment...but that's because it's 9am

i was cleaning up today and thought of posting some pictures of my sketchbook.

i think i have before but it was just two pages. despite the fact that i normally work with a white background, i try to make sure my sketch book isn't a clean white surface. i feel more comfortable with a bit a stain and dirt throughout page or at least a shade darker. i'm also quite obssessed with text and old pages of books. i tear out the ones i've read and paste them here and there throughout the sketchbook.

i am making some new sketches and hopefully will manage to get my lazy hands to grab a camera and take snapshots.

hmm. what else? oh, i finally managed to get so this is goodbye by the junior boys (i'm so in love with that album)....now i need to get last exit.

i keep having dreams where i am knee deep in dark water that is ice cold and my hands feel like they are on fire. i keep seeing a reflection of a very tall boy running around me laughing. there would be a bird coming from the blank west dropping small crystals that slice me. i want to speak but my mouth is sewn shut and the sky keeps going from dead blue to grey. i feel like i have ten heads and twenty fingers. toy guns float around me and someone is playing a drunken fiddle.

a new painting done on wednesday night. very warm when i look at it now and noticed that she slightly resembles carrie bradshaw. of course that was totally something i was not aiming for but it just so happened .... i don't think many will notice, hopefully. besides her style is pure fab. what i enjoyed the most was the texture of wood. when you touch it feels like the skin of a beast, which is strange due to the layers of aged acrylic on it. it's been painted on over and over and over again. there even used to be this pretty bad portrait of nicole krauss that i did when i was sixteen or so. it's an old heavy piece of wood but for now...i think i am done with it. literally. it will be showing at Gallery 1988 San Francisco sometime around June along with some other pieces.

i got a new sketch book and started playing with it.

it's weird since most of the time i use my sketch book more like a research-type book.

i add so many pictures, often more then putting in sketches. but ultimately it helps me manage to think of something to paint on the larger final sheets of paper.

i've been going back and forth on what theme i wanted to mess with but the result just kept being the complete opposite of what i planned.

i don't really think of it as a bad thing, though sometimes i do get upset.

i wish i was the type that could just plan it out and then execute it without going haywire. but i don't think that is going to happen any time soon.

i guess that's not how i think. and that's fine. okay, babbling will stop for now. :)
